Larona Serero is a senior lecturer in the faculty of Health and Education, department of health information Management (HIM) at Botho University in Botswana. She has been involved in the occupational health and safety and environmental science at various capacities since 2004. She she has been engaged as a tutor, lecturer, external moderator, subject expert and external auditor amongst others. She has taught at various tertiary institutions in Botswana in the field of environmental science and occupational health and safety.
Larona has worked with Botswana Qualifications Authority (BQA) as a subject expert to assess both credit bearing and non-credit bearing courses submitted by education providers for accreditation.
She has also worked as part of an auditing team, auditing legislative compliance for a mine.Larona has also volunteered for various organizations such as for the international Labor Organization (ILO) as a LEGOSH country contributor for Botswana, where she was responsible for uploading occupational health and safety legislation on the platform. Larona currently volunteers as a tutor for Workplace Health without Boarders (WHWB), which attracts learners from various countries in the world. She is a member of ICOH, workplace health without borders and OSH Africa.
