Diketso Kelebemang Rahuma is an enthusiastic, service-driven Tourism and Hospitality Lecturer at the Faculty of Hospitality and Sustainable Tourism (2016) to date in Botho University. She holds a Master of Education in Higher Education, a Bachelor of Business Honors in Tourism Management, and a Certificate in Hospitality Operations.
Diketso teaches a range of courses in Hospitality and Tourism Management. She joined the university as a Laboratory assistant where she assisted students with their Practical Modules (Laundry Operations and Housekeeping Operations). Diketso also serves an internship coordinator for the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism (2019 to date) and she is the former member of the Inter Departmental Staff Committee. She has also served as an assessor, moderator, programme developer, consultant, and a Trainer for the past 6 years in the Hospitality and Tourism sector. She has been in the hotel industry for 5 years where she has worked in the Front Office department of 2 big hotels in Gaborone at supervisory level. Her research interests’ centre around sustainable tourism, cultural and heritage tourism, community-based tourism, rural tourism, Customer Service Excellence, Events and Education. She has a few published articles in international journals.
