Dr. Tampiwa Chebani is a multi-faceted and experienced professional with a keen interest in Health Education, Health Research, Data Science, and Lifestyle Medicine. He is an effective communicator and listener who can clearly convey ideas, fostering a positive learning environment in which students can reach their full potential. He has lectured and graduated students pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management, and he has taught Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Health Insurance, and Disease Coding. He has also given lectures on theoretical topics such as Human Anatomy and Physiology, Pathology, Pharmacology, and Health Ethics.
He graduated from the University of Melbourne Medical school with degrees in Medicine, surgery, and Medical science. He then worked for the Ministry of Health and Wellness, Botswana, as a Medical Officer for 2 years. He was then recruited to join the Botho University Faculty of Health and Education in 2017.
Dr. Chebani is currently studying for a Ph.D. in Epidemiology and Biostatistics. His research interests include non-communicable diseases and the use of predictive analytics in disease prevention.
